One of the realities of busy Monday mornings at Old Stone is that the bulletin isn't fully proofed before it is included in the newsletter.  Most often the changes are minor, but this week something odd happened with our computer programs and the bulletin had numerous aspects from a May bulletin- including the hymns and creeds from another Sunday and not including this Sunday's baptism.

We've made corrections and a more accurate bulletin can be found here:

We do our best to post the final bulletin on the website no later than Friday, so if you'd ever like to see what's happening on Sunday (or read past bulletins or sermons) you can always check out the Old Stone Presbyterian Church worship page on the website.

Thank you!

Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession (unison)
Holy One, have mercy on us because of Your never-ending love.
With Your compassion, take away our sin.
We have not done what You desire.
Create in us clean hearts, O God,
and put a new and right spirit within us.
Restore us the joy of your salvation,
and sustain in us a willing spirit, that we might,
through grace, return to You. Amen.

Affirmation of Faith Confession of 1967
By humble submission to John’s baptism, Christ joined himself to men and women in their need and entered upon his ministry of reconciliation in the power of the Spirit. Christian baptism marks the receiving of the same Spirit by all his people. Baptism with water represents not only cleansing from sin, but a dying with Christ and a joyful rising with him to new life. It commits all Christians to die each day to sin and to live for righteousness. In baptism, the church celebrates the renewal of the covenant with which God has bound us to God ’s very self. By baptism, individuals are publicly received into the church to share in its life and ministry, and the church becomes responsible for their training and support in Christian discipleship. Now to him who by the power within us is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
